********* warranty "void"

I am obviously very upset and disappointed, which is why I'm posting this review. In short I took my phone in for repairs (Thursday 9 March 2017) at Vodacom Repairs Century City and dealt with Keanen (job no. ********** 2). He took my phone in and completed all documentation and specifically said it's still within warranty (upgrade only due Mat 2017). I urgently required a loan for work purposes which they did not have but he promised he'd note it on the system and they would contact me as soon as one became available. This was a lie as when I went in the Saturday to enquire they told me no note was made of this request. This was the start of my disappointment. I went in today as I received a notification that my phone is in JHB and will cost me +R1900 to repair!!!! They could not assist and gave me the ********** number to contact. I spoke to Ms Thabo Murovhi who was very abrupt with me and adamant I should have been informed by the consultant that assisted me that my warranty is null and void due to a 1cm crack on back cover of my phone!!!!! She said I signed and should have read the terms. She said that she was the highest level I could deal with and that there was nothing I could do nor any manager I could escalate this with. I was sung a similar tune by Mr Tlabo Mochosa on my second attempt to speak to someone in management. Is this how Vodacom handles their clients after we commit to contracts??!! I have 2 contracts with Vodacom (1 of which is expired in December 2016 already but still paying). I will not renew and will cancel my contracts as well as recommend to my wife not to renew her contract which has also expired in December 2016 and still running if this is how much they appreciate our business. The 1cm crack in question is on the top right corner and has been there for a year already and just cosmetic. The parts they also quoted has nothing to do with the crack. I feel Vodacom is been highly ********* and devious (if not **********) for hiding behind fine print which was not explained and had no bearing on the repairs in question. It's as if I brought my car in for a mechanical issue and the dealer telling me I lost my service plan or warranty because I have a dent in my rear bumper??!! This cannot be legal and I demand my phone be repaired under warranty and that Vodacom gets someone to contact me that can take responsibility. I will not let my rights be trod on and will fight this matter till it's resolved!

I do not appreciate a computer generated reply, even more frustrating is getting a computer generated email response with a pathetic apology. To top it off they ask me to contact the same ********** number I had the issues with regarding the service agents who was so pathetic. I would also like to know why I need to sign a waver for a loan phone (Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo, valued at R999.95 at CNA currently) that I will pay R2500 if the phone is lost or damaged??? This is from Canasl Walk Repair Centre, is this how Vodacom ****s customers??? Everything seems underhand after you tie yourself into a contract and then need assistance! I would like a consultant (preferably manager or supervisor) to contact me today to sort this matter out!!
