********* Vodacom Experience

2 Months ago I signed a new contract with Vodacom via Dions Wired for a brand new laptop that includes 3GB data as part of the contract. At Dions the staff told me to CAP the data as it is listed as an open contract and that is exactly what I did! I phone Vodacom's Customer Care and they capped the 3 GB for me. I have experienced the "CAP" because once I reach that limit, the internet shuts down and it informs me on laptop screen that I have run out of data, please recharge your account. I switched off the modem and if push comes to shove, I use my own sim card and phone data as a wifi hotspot which FYI is also capped and I haven't experienced any of these problems with my cellphone account. This morning I woke up with a massive debit order that went off my account. I just came back from Vodacom and on my aco**** it shows that my account has been CAPPED but what I don't understand is that the data keeps on running and they charged me for it?? Firts of all, if an account is capped, the internet can't be used because "I have to recharge" as per the massive message that I get on the laptop screen. Second of all, the modem has been SWITCHED OFF but data keeps on running? What does it mean then to Vodacom to freakin CAP a contract? When I asked the staff to please explain to me how to then correctly CAP a contract, her reply was that I can't however on her screen in it shows that the GB will run R50 past 3GB and will then shut down. She also then explained that you can't even buy data for these types of accounts over the counter. It has to be registered on a the Vodacom app to be able to recharge. This is COMPLETELY misleading and *********! I am going to close down my phone account and this brand new account with them. They just lost a customer that has been loyal to them for more than 6 years.
