********* ******* - Vodacom

On the 18th October I emailed vodacom with a cancellation of a contract. I sent the email to ***. As I did not receive a response to this email, I then contacted Vodacom Cancellations department on the 28th October 2020 and spoke to Thandeka, asking her to cancel the contract. She literally argued with me trying to convince me to keep a contract I no longer needed. She ultimately said she would process the cancellation (I had witnesses to this conversation in my office). Yesterday, 21 December 2020, I once again contacted Vodacom as the contract has clearly not been cancelled. I spoke to Akshay, who then proceeded to lie to me (please listen to the voice recording), stating that Vodacom does not accept written cancellations. That there has been no cancellation and that he would only process this now but that I would still be liable for cost. I received an email in this regard. From my perspective, I met my legal obligation twice. Once in writing (as per T's&C's) and once by phoning. Why am I being charged beyond this. It is ********* and ******* as I did everything needed on my part, with substantive proof of such. I am not only being de*****ed, but also being **** to.

Reviewer Update
Good day,
The query has not been resolved as Vodacom charged me for additional months. I am still waiting for a representative from Vodacom to contact me and explain what will happen to your staff memeber who told an outright lie. It is unacceptable that Vodacom states they'll contact me and instead close the query, privately. If you choose not to contact me, Ill take the matter further on multiple social media platforms.
