********* false advertising

I have a Huawei P Smart device on contract through Vodacom, on Saturday (02/03/19) I went to Vodacom to open a data contract under the assumption that I could use the data sim card as well as my normal sim card in the phone at the same time as the phone has dual sim capabilities.

After registering the contract, I received the sim card and put it in the phone, only to realise that the phone does not support two sim cards at the same time. Initially I thought there was a problem with my phone, so I contacted Huawei only for them to tell me that Vodacom disables the second sim functionality on ALL devices.

This is incredibly unehtical! The phone is marketed as a dual sim phone and sold as such. While signing up for the data contract, I mentioned several times to the person helping me that I would be using the sim card as a second sim in my device as a data sim and the other sim for phone calls etc. She never once mentioned that phones through Vodacom have this functionality removed.

I am now stuck with a contract that I have no use for.
