********* Business Practices

March 2018 I contacted Vodacom to cancel my contract. I was then put through to the retention's department. As a long standing Vodacom customer (10 years plus) they structured a package for me to retain me as a customer. Part of the new package was that my data and airtime would be valid for 60 days (two months). This was the case up until September 2019 whereby now my data is only valid for 30 days. 6 phone calls and two hours later I have been told that they changed their policy and even though I was promised a 60 day data carry over to retain me as a customer my data would only be valid for 30 days. It's not so much the data as I don't use much but rather the principle or lack thereof of the way this has been handled. Needless to say I wont be fooled by the retention's departments empty promises again when I phone to cancel in December. Only this time I will be cancelling all family contracts and my FTTH.
