********* and ******* Service rendered from Vodacom

I'm billed (to pay the 25th May) an extra amount of R 171.21 (apart from the subscribed amount on ********** 739) and it seems my account for June has also been debited with some or other subscription. I've contacted Vodacom at 4 different occasions whereby the operators promised to send me the call reference and progress of my issues via SMS…till date I've received none. Today I spoke to a team lead who informed me that I "read" a message that was send to me and that is how I subscribed for a gaming service. This is outrageous!!!! How can a client subscribe to a service by reading a message!!!! A client subscribes to a service by selecting a link etc. NOT BY READING A MESSAGE. I did not subscribe to any service and insist that the monies be collected from the ********** - clearly Vodacom does have their clients best interest at heart. I’m taking the matter further.

I phoned Vodacom today again because I haven’t received feedback, the operator (Imram) informed me that someone on Vodacom’s side sent an e-mail and sms which I did not receive although the addresses correspond. I provided the operator (Imram) with the reference number of 1- ********** ********** which was provided yesterday and the promise of being reimbursed by the operator Balesa. The Operator (Imram) said that he’s unable to see on his system when and where I supposedly subscribed to VodacomLive which is a Vodacom product but I’m liable for the amounts outstanding. Again I explained to the operator (Imram) I did not subscribe to any service and I don’t agree with their explanation that I read a message that was sent to me therefore subscribed for something. I received an e-mail from Vodacom that reads “Dear customer, our records indicate no active contents on your account. Vodacom does not subscribe customers automatically to vlive contents. No refund is due, thank you for your patience.” The operator (Imram) put me through to another operator (Modiegi). The operator (Modiegi) said that I read the message and therefore subscribed to VodacomLive. I requested for this matter to be escalated to someone who is willing to look at the facts at hand, the history and preferably in a managerial position…the operator cut the line. As previously stated a client does not subscribe to a service by reading a message, I’ve been de*****ed by some or other service and Vodacom is keeping me liable.
