Undisclosed contrac content and difficulty of cancellation of that contract
I was on a 1GB month to month data contract on my ********** 012 number and on 3July2017 I received a call from Vodacom Online Outbound and was offered a 2GB 12 month data contract for R109 and the agent said she will call me later on to give me all the contract details which will commence on 01 August 2017. The agent failed to come back to me nor send me a sms notifying me of the new contract. During the month of August when all my incoming calls were unknown I called Vodacom customer care on 114 to find out why my incoming calls were all unkwown I was told I did not have caller line identity and to my dismay I was told I was on an open line 2GB data contract of which I did not and will never agree on. I was told to call the online department on ********** 4 to rectify the mistake made on my new contract. On speaking with the agent that offered me the contract I made her aware that she never disclosed the contents of the contract and I never received any notification of the new contract and she failed to come back to me and give me the details of the contract as promised. She acknowledged her mistake and apologized and promised me that the contract will be changed to top up but it would take 7-14 working days to resolve the matter. On calling after 14 days the contract was still not changed and I called online and ended up speaking with the agent again. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she would say the supervisor was either unavailable or busy but the matter will be resolved. I then called customer service on 114 and the matter was escalated to the back office. I received a call from the back office and I was promised that as from 01 September 2017 my contract will be 2GB data top up contract. To my surprise by Septmber my contract was still an open line contract instead my ********** number was the one changed to a 2GB top up data which was not my request. I then called Online again and ended up speaking with Nicole and we agreed on the open line contract to be cancelled. I called Nicole twice and she assured me on the cancelation of the open line contract. During October month I called customer care to check if my contract has been cancelled I was told it was still on open line contract. 16October I then went to Vodaworld to escalate the matter. I was assisted by Patience and I told her I wanted the open line contract cancelled and I wanted to be back on my 1GB month to month data contract as I was previously on and 071 ********** number to be back on its original my flexi R200 top up contract. 23 October 2017 when I followed up on the matter she told me I have been upgraded to a 2GB top up 24 month contract which is not what we have agreed on. 24 October I called online and spoke to Amanda (the supervisor) and she said my open line contract was cancelled two weeks back and I told her I was never notified I then asked her to send me an email as proof she promised to send me an email of which I did not receive. She also promised to call me back as she was going to speak with Nicole regarding the matter and she never called me. 25 October I called online and requested for Amanda and asked about the email and she said she sent it I gave her an alternative email address and still I have not received any mail from her. I phoned Patience on ********** 968 and left a message and she never got back to me. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE UNPROFESSIONAL MATTER OF VODACOM STAFF IN HANDLING MY MATTER. I HAVE BEEN DISPUTING THE OPEN LINE CONTRACT SINCE AUGUST. I DON'T WANT A 24 MONTH DATA CONTRACT. I WANT MY CONTRACTS TO BE BACK TO WHERE THEY WERE ie 1GB month to month data contract and my flexi R200.
