Unauthorized Upgrade on My Vodacom Contract – No Resolution Despite Clear Evidence

Title: Unauthorized Upgrade on My Vodacom Contract – No Resolution Despite Clear Evidence

I am the account holder of a Vodacom contract, and an upgrade was processed on my account in-store without my authorization or consent.

I was not present at the store, did not sign any agreement, and did not approve the transaction in any way. However, the documentation used for the upgrade reflects a completely different person’s ID and signature.

Despite this clear mismatch, Vodacom has declined to reverse the upgrade, stating that “no ***** was found.” This response completely ignores the actual issue, which is not only *****, but the lack of proper authorization and failure to verify the account holder’s identity.

How is it acceptable for an upgrade to be processed on my contract using someone else’s ID and signature?

This indicates a serious breakdown in Vodacom’s in-store verification processes and has left me unfairly locked out of my upgrade eligibility.

I have requested that Vodacom:

- Reverse the unauthorized upgrade - Restore my contract to its previous state - Reinstate my upgrade eligibility

To date, this has not been resolved, and I have now escalated the matter to the relevant regulatory authority.

I expect Vodacom to take accountability and resolve this matter urgently.
