Unauthorized debit orders

I have been receiving repeated demands for an outstanding amount on a contract that I do not have a record for. It has subsequently turned out that Vodacom has been debiting my account for a nominal amount for the past four years for a service I have not had access to. Despite repeated calls, emails and texts demanding payment for an outstanding amount after I cancelled the debit order, Vodacom has failed to provide a contract. I've attempted to communicate with their Customer Care department, but receive automated responses to my emails. Phone calls have merely resulted in promises to get someone to call me back. When these calls finally do come, I'm told that someone will send a copy of the contract. Two representatives have assured me these emails have been sent, but to date, there has been nothing. Yet the demands for payment continue to come. I would be delighted if someone from Vodacom could provide me with contracts dating from 2017 to date.

I am receiving almost daily demands (written, telephonic and via SMS) for this account. To date, Vodacom has not been able to supply me with the contract I apparently signed - although they managed to send me a copy of someone else's contract. After I pointed this out to the collections team, I was sent a message from a debt collection agency advising that I no longer had any amount outstanding. That was a relief...until about a month ago, when the calls started up again - this time, with demands to provide proof that I canceled the contract in writing. What contract? I STILL have not received one - although Vodacom's callers insist there are records of it being sent. Yet nobody can prove this or even see what was attached (someone told me that it takes time because the document has to be located in some sort of warehouse?).
For the past six years, Vodacom has been debiting my account for a service I have not been using (it was a nominal amount that I assumed were my own pay-as-you-go purchases - that was my own stupidity). Now they're wasting countless hours of my time demanding a ridiculous amount because debit orders were reversed (so essentially, I'm not even paying for the service, I'm paying their returned debit order fees - for an account I didn't know I flipping had!) Why tell me the matter was resolved and then start the whole nightmare up again? Honestly, I give up.
