Unauthorized Debit After Final Payment – No Paid-Up Letter
I am very unhappy with Vodacom’s handling of my account.
My contract was extended despite my concerns, and when I requested cancellation, I was handed over to attorneys. I made payment arrangements and settled the account as agreed. However, after making my final payment, Vodacom still debited my account without authorization.
I am also struggling to get a paid-up letter as proof of settlement.
This is unfair as I have honored my obligations. I request an urgent reversal of the debit and issuance of my paid-up letter.

27 Mar 2026, 09:21I am extremely frustrated with the service from Vodacom regarding my account. After requesting cancellation, I was referred to attorneys where I made payment arrangements and settled my account in full. However, even after my final payment, Vodacom proceeded with an unauthorized debit from my account.
To date, I have not received a paid-up letter as proof that my account is settled, despite multiple follow-ups. Their consultants they jus taking me back & forth.
This is completely unfair as I have fulfilled my obligations, yet I am still being inconvenienced and ignored.

I urgently require:
- To stop debiting me
- Immediate issuance of my paid-up letter

27 Mar 2026, 09:34 I am extremely frustrated with Vodacom’s service. I spoke to Melissa from the Legal Department, who then transferred me to the Cancellation Department where I spoke to Ncgoba Mbele. After that, I received a quote for charges I do not understand.
How is it possible for someone to be expected to pay for a contract from 2020 until 2027? This makes absolutely no sense.
I have been trying to resolve this matter, but instead of assistance, I am being passed from one department to another without clear answers. It feels like Vodacom is making it unnecessarily difficult for customers to cancel their contracts.
Vodacom, please sort out this mess and provide a clear explanation of these charges. Why is it so difficult for a customer to leave your service?
