Unauthorized Credit Checks
I was recently notified by a credit bureau that Vodacom had made an enquiry on my credit profile. I have not app**** for any of their products but they feel entitled to access my credit info. Making too many enquiries gives an impression that one is always applying for credit and eventually reduces your credit score. Institutions that are supposed to protect consumers e.g. NCR, NCC, Credit Ombuds are toothless and have no skilled personnel to compel these corporates to obey the law. This ******** behavior by Vodacom and its partners must be condemned and exposed on all social media platforms.

06 Jun 2023, 01:50 MANAGEMENT SANCTIONED MALPRACTICE
Following my previous review on Vodacom’s unauthorized credit checks, this company wants to blame it on phishing ****s. This is a TOP MANAGEMENT sanctioned and promoted malpractice. There is no demented boogieman somewhere in a cave trying to make a quick buck for Vodacom. This is a sanctioned practice. Top management have all the data. They must come clean and tell South Africans, how many cases of this nature are reported daily and how many senior people are in jail for this *****. Stop blaming it on low-level call center employees. South Africans, let us expose this ***** everywhere we can. *******ion must be exposed everywhere it is happening and not only in government. Thanks to the credit bureaus for their prompt notifications and for protecting our private data from such predatory misuse. This is not the end of this story, it’s only the beginning.
