Unauthorised subscription to Vodacom WiFi account
I got into a contract with Vodacom for a 10 gig day and 10gig night package but the salesperson made it an open contract instead of a top-up as requested. I got this wifi contract to be used in a private practice which I am currently using it for. I started to get huge bills from Vodacom of which the biggest was more than R8000 a month. I tried several times to open my accounts emailed to me but it was encripted. On several occasions I went to the local outlet to get the encripted mails fixed but it kept on coming as encrypted. Eventually I went to an outlet in Bloemfontein to establish why the account is so high on which it was discovered that the contract is indeed on open contract with a lot of out-of-bundle data being used. I complained to Vodacom on which they changed to contract to a top-up and refunded me on part of the out-of-bundle data used.
The second issue that was picked up on this account was that there were from March to August 2017 subscription made on this number which I am 100% sure I did not subscribe to. As I said previously I use this service for administration of a private practice. I complained to Vodacom that referred me to WASPA on which I emailed my complaint to Justin. He requested feedback from the subscription sites on which only Opera Telekom indicated that indeed this number was subscribed and they refunded me R5000 odd. The problem is that the ******* subscriptions amounted to R8671.13 for March to August 2017.
On asking for refund for the rest of the money from WASPA (Justin) I was met with irritation and animosity and he said I have to find out from Vodacom who the companies were that subscribed to my account. I gave him feedback that it is GO 4 Star and Smartcall Technical Solutions as informed by Vodacom. He then sent a request to these two companies who said they did not subcribe to this number. Justin from WASPA then said to me during a telephonic conversation that he believes these sites and I need to send him an itemised billing that these two were subscribed. I do not have itemised billing on this account but nevertheless phoned Vodacom several times to request an itemised billing as proof. Three times now they told me they CANNOT give me an itemised billing as itemised billings are only kept for three months so they cannot give it to me for the period March to August.
When I told this to WASPA (Justin) he told me that it is impossible and that he had never encountered this and that he cannot help me any further WHICH IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Between the imcompetance of Vodacom and WASPA I don't know any more.
