Unauthorised Billing charges - account query with no feedback

Dear Hello Peter,

This is to complain about the recent terrible service I recieved from Vodacom & the way they have dealt with my query about a billing dispute I have, which was not brought to my attention and have not been resolved.

It's been more than a week already & I have to date, not received any form of feedback from Vodacom at all, which is unacceptable to say the least, as I have been a loyal Vodacom customer.

Please see below valid enquiry with facts I have, which I have not received any response:

"From: Elzette Delport
Sent: 30 May 2016 11:47 AM
To: '***'
Subject: ACCOUNTS QUERY - ID *** - Number ***

Good day,

I received a bill of R1400 for my April month account. It was for number ***, this account has been transferred to pay as you go end April 2016.

When I enquired, they said it was for data usage. I have always had a limit set on my phone and have never in history of my accounts with Vodacom had such a high account to which the lady who helped me said that they cannot guarantee a limit that is set… so why offer the clients that service if it’s not guaranteed?

I cannot afford R1400 for an account hence I have always had a limit set( im sure the call records can confirm this). My number *** went from a contract to a prepaid end of april 2016 and when I ask if they can check for me they say they can’t because the number is now a prepaid. I have not ever removed my limit on this number because I can’t afford a high bill.

If because I wanted to go from contract to prepaid the limit is automatically removed then I was not informed as a client. I was only told that I was going to be charged my normal amount as per what I have been paying every month and then my account will be finished.

I have received a sms on 19 April to say that my limit was reached for the data on my phone so how can I be charged for data usage if I had a limit set on my phone and if I received a sms to say that my data is reached and I then had to buy pre-paid data of which I have proof as well?

Please can someone rectify this for me as I cannot and will not accept that I was charged for something that I didn’t have or wanted either. I unfortunately cannot leave this here as R1400 is not money that just lies around for me and will have to go to hello peter as well as the CPA if I must.

Elzette Delport"

Vodacom, I request that this be rectified soonest, as I'm the client & why to I have to follow up on more than 2 occasions.

Kind regards

Reviewer Update

Dear Hello Peter & Vodacom,

It's 2 weeks later and still not one follow up or phone call from a consultant to resolve my query.

This is shocking to say the least & I would except a better service from Vodacom?

This has now resulted in me resourching to the CPA and will take further action if Vodacom does not resolve this before the end of this month.

I emphasise once again on the lack of service and the inaccurate billing of my account by Vodacom, whereby I clearly stated attached.

Vodacom, please rectify soonest before further action will be taken and whereby the CPA will be inforced

Regards
