Unacceptable service from retentions (MONDLI GALAWE)
My last 24 month contract end date was communicated to me by a retentions consultant as 2 September 2018. I spoke to this gentleman in June 2018 and after exploring upgrade options and not being happy with a single one offered, I asked him to go ahead and process the cancellation of my contract. I confirmed with him final invoice dates so that I don't have clashes with a new service provider and he said my last charge to my account will be debited in August and that I will not be charged for September as my contract ends the day before cut off, which is the 3rd of every month. He also said I will be able to port my number after 2 September once the contract ends. I called again to confirm that my cancellation was processed and documented by Vodacom in August 2018. Trying to port my number on 6 September 2018, 4 days after then end of my contract and my service provider lets me know there seems to be a barrier on Vodacom's side. Call in today to hear that I will be billed at the end of September as well for August. I accept the logic for this invoice as I have an open line that is billed in arrears. Mondli Galawe from retentions then continues to inform me that I will be billed for October as well. How is Vodacom billing me for a month after the end of my 24 month period. I tell him that I'd like to speak to someone else because he is not answering my questions and this is in direct contradiction of what the retentions consultant told me in June. I ask for an escalations mailbox that I can contact to have this resolved and Mondli Galawe continues to put me on hold (full call recorded 1:02:42 with almost half an hour hold). Noticed quite a few complaints on this very same retentions consultant. On top of terrible service in general, your agents just let customers run on hold when they don't want to deal with the query???
