Unacceptable service
The service I received from Vodacom is unacceptable. Sometime last year, Vodacom cancelled my debit order without informing me or getting my approval. I was therefore unaware that my debit order was cancelled. Then I received a call from Vodacom saying that I didn't pay my account and it was during this conversation that Vodacom advised me that my debit order was cancelled. I asked them to tell me who cancelled it because it wasn't me, and until today, nobody from Vodacom has been able to advise me why they cancelled my debit order. I have since been paying my account manually through EFT. I have been a loyal contract customer of Vodacom for more than 10 years now and have generally upgraded by contract and cell phone every 2 years or so, depending if I wanted a new cell phone or not. On Sunday, 17 April 2022, I phoned the Vodacom upgrade department as I wanted to upgrade to an iPhone 13 Pro. The consultant I spoke to said that I did not qualify for an upgrade to an iPhone 13 Pro because my credit record with Vodacom was poor, and it was poor because Vodacom had to phone me last year to pay my account. He then said that he would escalate the matter and get back to me. Nobody from Vodacom has come back to me yet, but I received an sms this morning saying that my query (ref nr: ***) has been resolved and closed - which is not the case. I find this treatment and actions by Vodacom unacceptable as a mistake made by Vodacom is now being used the penalise me. I want Vodacom to investigate and resolve this matter as soon as possible and allow me to upgrade to an iPhone 13 Pro.
