Unacceptable business practice / customer service

I have a Vodacom contract with 3 cellphone numbers linked to it. Cellphone A is my main cellphone number with an ongoing contract; Cellphone B is on a contract that ended as at 30 September. Cellphone C is for my tablet.

In early September I called to confirm that I was cancelling the contract on Cellphone B as the contract was ending and wanted it converted to Pay as You Go. It was confirmed that this would be done wef 1 October 2017.

I have received a Statement indicating that, instead of cancelling Cellphone B, Cellphone A has been cancelled! And I have been lumped with a huge bill for cancellation of a cellphone for which I NEVER requested cancellation.

I have called Customer Service, was put through to Cancellations where it is quite clear what transpired - Cellphone A was cancelled instead of Cellphone B.

I have now been advised that this cannot be remedied in less than 2 to 7 working days!!!

This is UNACCEPTABLE! I need to use my cellphone on an ongoing basis and cannot operate on pay-as-you-go and am also NOT going to foot this exhorbitent account for a cancellation that was NOT requested but rather botched by Vodacom.

A consultant contacted me and it appears that one of the issues has been resolved but the other is still outstanding! Furthermore, I am so tired of going onto MyVodacom and getting the same message over and over - this is an ongoing issue for MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ''Unfortunately we are having technical issues and are working to resolve these as soon as possible. Please try again later.''

STILL NO RESPONSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To date, following my earlier issue (below), I STILL AWAIT confirmation that my cellphone contract has been reinstated! I have received no sms or email or phone call to advise what is going on and have instead, a few minutes ago, received the following SMS which explains nothing and I have no idea what it refers to: 'Your Collections Outgoing Calls Bar has been activated. To view balances, buy bundles & save dial *111# or visit vodacom.mobi'

I await a resolution to what was a simple bungle, made by Vodacom, with could have been remedied swiftly. I feel VERY helpless and UN-HELPED! Where do I go from here? The series of inexplicable SMS messages, no explanation of what is happening or if there is any resolution to my problem, and the ongoing need to repeat and repeat my query to various people within Vodacom with NO OUTCOME. This is beyond believable! THE ISSUE: I have a Vodacom contract with 3 cellphone numbers linked to it. Cellphone 0.........1175 is my main cellphone number with, what is supposed to be, an ongoing contract; Cellphone 0..........3513 is on a contract that ended as at 30 September. Cellphone 0...........5720 is for my tablet. In early September I called to confirm that I was cancelling the contract on 0..........3513 as the contract was ending and wanted it converted to Pay as You Go. It was confirmed that this would be done wef 1 October 2017. I subsequently received my Statement which indicates that, instead of cancelling 0..........3513 , 0.........1175 was been cancelled and as a result, I have been lumped with a huge bill for cancellation of a cellphone for which I NEVER requested cancellation. I have subsequently called and emailed Customer Service, Cancellations, Social Media and a number of other departments at Vodacom with no resolution to this issue. Instead, I have received SMS messages which make absolutely no sense: "Dear subscriber, your alternate number for notifications has been deleted" (?) "Welcome to Vodacom's Instant TopUp service - you may recharge at any time...." (?) "Dear Judith Oakley, quote: 1.34........40 has been generated on your profile and vetting approved." (?) “Your Unlock Processing Fee has been activated…” (?) “Your Collections Outgoing Calls Bar has been activated…”(?) My 14-year relationship with Vodacom is nearing its end…
