Unable to transfer cell phone number back to my name

I have been with Vodacom since +/- 2009. I have never defaulted once on my payments and my average bill is around R1200.00 per month. I was advised by my auditor to transfer my account to my business which I did about a year and a half ago.

I have subsequently sold my shares in the business and app**** to transfer my cell phone number back into my personal name.

I went into my local Vodacom shop in Knysna and filled in the necessary forms, gave them a letter with letterhead, id's as requested etc etc and had to wait approximately 3 weeks when I went into the shop to find out if they have processed my transfer application. I was then told that the transfer cannot be done as I have a bad credit record???? I have just bought a house, a car a couple of years ago and now I have some admin lady telling me that I cannot transfer my account.

So I then called the Vodacom legal department today and tried to find out what is the problem on their side, so I can fix it. First he tells me that I have an amount of R790 odd rand outstanding, then says no sorry that's wrong. He then proceeds to tell me that it's only a name (as in my number being in my ex company's name) and that I should just leave it until my contract expires and go onto prepaid, which is only in December 2017. I am in the process of starting a new business and that option is just not suitable for me. and this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I am very dissapointed in Vodacom as I have been an EXCELLENT client of theirs and all I am trying to do is get the number back into my name and the debit order to come off my account.

It is so frustrating and unfortuantely I have now had to contact Hello Peter to try and get through to someone who actually knows what's happening and can assist me in doing this transfer.
