Unable to cancel my contract in over a year

I took a contract in 2022 and then shortly thereafter left SA. I let the contract run - diligently paying it each month - until it reached the end of its life in 2025. I sent my mom with a signed letter to have it cancelled, as I cannot call the call centre from an international number - it just doesn't work. They didn't process the cancellation, and proceeded to continue debiting my account. I reached out to customer service, got an automated response, the automated response only wanted to call me back - on my data only sim which isn't able to receive calls, and which I don't have anymore. I cancelled the debit orders with the bank, and had them reversed only to be contacted by subscriber collections. I responded with all the info and request to cancel. I even made payment ahead for 1 month to ensure that there were no issues, but it still didn't get cancelled on time. I have laid complaints with the Consumer Protection Act and ICASA - both of whom have been less than useless in dealing with this issue as it is still ongoing. Vodacom has made it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel this contract unless you are physically in South Africa, as the branches now refuse to accept the written letter and request to cancel - insisting on calling me back and not accepting my international number as a call back option. This is literally theft at this point, as they probably have about 20 emails from me to the various email addresses and no one has bothered to do anything about it in over a year. They have also decided to reinstate my debit order - despite me cancelling it - and have taken money from my account without my permission. I should be refunded for all costs since March 31, 2025 and all marks on my credit report should be reversed. Vodacom should have international contact options other than your call centre.
