Unable of cancellation for a deceased's contract with special request
My mother a few weeks ago went into Vodacom at the Pavilion to find out the procedure to cancel my brother's contract who has passed away recently. She need the account active as his business is run from it and we needed to ensure communication with clients. She was informed that when ready she can bring the death certificate and then the necessary arrangements can be made as required. Saturday she & I went in to discuss the options of cancellation, first we were told to phone cancellations, but when we informed them that they told us we could resolve it in store then we got provided a ticket for technical assistance. She informed us that she could cancel but that we need to contact Vodacom's legel department to discuss how we can maintain one of the numbers active for the business while cancelling all other contracts. She was the only helpfull person in this cycle. I have spent this morning via phone going from pillar to post between customer care when I have tried to phone ********** & ********** to get through to legal to discuss extenuating circumstances. Neither of these numbers could help me. The first keeps taking me to Customer Care who then puts me through to "legal" but then I end up again at Customer Care. The second one informs me that I am either in arears or I am a debt collector. But as I don't have certain information I can't go further to talk to somebody. Does anybody have an idea what number I must contact & who I can talk to? For a recently bereaved family this is a trying time, but it is now exasperated further by the unablity for a person to talk to a person in the legal department to discuss ways of moving on & cancelling the contract correctly with the required transfers that may be needed.
