Un-blacklisting process is DISMAL!!!

I thought I had lost my phone and I blacklisting, the after blacklisting the phone I found it. I called vodacom to confirm the process of unblacklisting my phone and they advised that I can do this at any vodacom shop, when I went to the vodacom shop they advised me that in actual fact un-blacklisting can only be done via the call center, they provided a form that I needed to complete and email for the un-blaclisting process to be completed.

I completed the form and sent it to ********** on Tuesday morning at 11:47 am, it is stipulated on the form and confirmed by the call center agent that it takes upto 48hrs for a phone to be un-blaclisted after documentation has been sent through.

First issue is that when you send the email you do not recieve email confirmation from vodacom acknowledging the email, secondly there is no direct line to the blacklisting department for you to follow up with and confirm that they have recieved the email and processing the request.

Today I called the call center to follow up as the 48hrs were due to end at 11:47 am today, the call center agent checked on my profile and my phone is still blacklisted, when I asked if she can follow-up with the blacklisting department she informed me that even THEY cannot call the very elusive department and she can only escalate, of which an escalation takes upto 48HRS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED, then the resolution MAY take another 48HRS, whilst NO ONE can call the department directly to confirm if they are actually doing anything...this proccess is inefficient and VERY frustrating, how can it take minutes to blacklist a phone by OVER A WEEK to un-blacklist with the correct documents provided.
