*****ulent SIM Swap
Dear Vodacom CEO,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to convey my profound frustration and concern regarding a significant breach that occurred with my Vodacom account over the weekend. On Saturday, June 5, 2025, at precisely 15:49, my cell number was *****ulently SIM swapped. Alarmingly, there were no security measures in place to prevent such an incident, leaving me feeling exceptionally vulnerable and disheartened by the inadequacy of the security protocols designed to protect my personal information.
Adding to my distress, I found the customer care line to be completely ineffective. The available options do not address my specific issue, and there appears to be no avenue to speak directly with a human representative for assistance. This inefficiency has only compounded my frustration, as I am unable to resolve this matter through the existing channels.
Furthermore, my visit to a Vodacom store proved to be futile as the store was offline. This inconvenience means I must now find additional time to return to the store in hopes of resolving this issue. The entire experience has been exasperating and time-consuming.
The most alarming consequence of this *****ulent SIM swap is that my bank accounts were drained by the *****sters. This has caused me considerable financial and emotional distress, and I am struggling to comprehend how such a security breach could occur.
I urge you to take immediate action to investigate this matter and to implement stronger security measures to prevent such incidents from reoccurring. Additionally, I request that you enhance the customer care system to provide more effective and accessible support for issues like mine.
Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
Kind regards, Mohammed Ali Carim
