Typical vodacom
In August 2019, I had tried taking out a contract with Vodacom but was told that I do not qualify due to my credit score being low. I was content with the response and let it be. A few days I received an sms and a phone call from the courier stating that my phone would be delivered soon. I was puzzled by this so I requested a phone call from Vodacom and was called. I stated my issue and was told that the consultant who assisted me would call me. Indeed I was called a few minutes later by a very rude girl by the name of Fezile (unfortunately I did not get her surname). This girl told me that she had called me and told me it was approved and apparently explained the T&c's. Seeing as I was no longer interested in the phone and knowing there's a 14 days return policy, I requested that Fezile cancel this phone contract and she confirmed that she did. In September and October there were no debits then all of a sudden on the 1st November there's a debit from Vodacom. I requested for a phone call again and asked this Fezile girl why the contract was not canceled and she insisted that it was canceled. I called in numerous times to get assistance and was eventually assisted by some guy who told me to get an affidavit stating my case and also send in my ID copy with 3 sample signatures as well as my bank statement. I did that and weeks later there was no response. I sent emails requesting for feedback and there's still nothing. There are still debits from vodacom going off on my account and I don't understand why because I canceled that ******* before I could even use it.
