****ty Vodacom
I viewed my vodacom invoice and to my shock I am being charged for 20gb data bundle that I removed on the 17/02/2021. I spoke to a consultant via the online chat who helped to remove it but even thou I did not use the data I must pay for it.
On the 17/02/2021 I went into the Vodacom store in Richards Bay. I app**** for fibre and at the same time removed the 20gb data bundle. Now, because of their mistake or system issues I am now left to pay for something I am not using.
To top it off. . . I received messages and phone calls for an upgrade. In Feb I upgraded by taking a laptop contract for my son. Today I find out that I must now still pay for my old device and the laptop. Honestly, why would I upgrade if I have to pay for 2 devices, I would have waited until the old device was done with.
I have been a customer of Vodacom for years and today I can say I am extremely disappointed. And I could I would return the laptop and cancel the contract asap. Would move to mtn seeing as they keep calling me with contract offers, but stupid me . . . Bein loyal to Vodacom got me nothing.
Also when I upgraded I took a laptop contract. In all the years I have been with Vodacom this is the first time that I am being charged for 2 devices. My previous Samsung phone and now the laptop. To my understanding when you are offered an upgrade that means your contract is now expired... WHY OFFER A CONTRACT before it expires... I budgeted ONLY FOR THE LAPTOP which is under R300.
My shock when I see I have 2 devices plus the 20gb data on my bill bringing my account just under a R1000. This puts me into R700 debt. Vodacom is ****************. I would not use Vodacom in the future when taking a contract. Especially now when we all have salary cuts and shortage of income to be ****** like this.
