Two weeks worth of Fibre
In January of this year, we were approached by a rep from Real Promotions selling the Vodacom Fibre packages. We signed up and all was well because within 4 or so days, we received the router. However, that was it. After numerous calls over the months right up until June, no one had come to do the installation for various reasons. The last call we made, we received a call from a young lady (very helpful and we are grateful for her) from Real Promotions explaining that the company responsible for the installation in our area had pulled out however she was sorry that no one informed us and will have us sorted once we sign a new contract.
Fast forward to 28 June 2019, our fibre is finally installed and all is running well till Thursday 11 July. I immediately call the call centre and the young man I spoke to said there was an outage and that they were already working to fix it. I called again the following day, because it still wasn't working, and spoke to a lady who was honest enough to tell me that she doesn't know when the problem will be fixed, but it will be soon as the matter affects more than 30 people and has thus been escalated by more than one person.
It has been 4 days and we have no internet. No explanation or anything. We had an internet connection for less than 2 weeks to be honest and if it has been escalated owing to the fact that it affects more than 30 people (who probably have also complained) in Eastleigh Edenvale, why is it taking so long?
