two handset installment 15 on an Upgrade of 1 handset.

Good day

I did an upgrade with Vodacom online on the Apr 21, 2020. New phone was delivered on the 28 April. I have been with vodacom for over 10years and not once was i billed for the old handset when I do the upgrade at 22 months. after this upgrade i notice a two handset installment 15. I have raised this Vodacom on their facebook. I am told : " that this amount for the device taken that has to be paid for the full 24 months or 36 months"

" you are allowed to upgrade before your contract term is reached, if you do the upgrade the still need to pay the old handset installment will removed once the full term on previous contract been reached"

Is this a new thing because this is not my first upgrade with any service provider when you upgrade you move to the new contract term. Why was this never mention that due to the early 22months upgrade i will be billed for the old handset until the term ends and why is the first time they do this. also can they explain what are the amount of the old handset not the same.

I repeat that i have never had to pay for old handset on the new upgrade contract. never.

While I am still waiting for the consultant to contact us, I have checked the contact end dates. according to your Facebook consultant I pay the other handset until the contract end. However the new contract term show end date as 29 July 2022. I upgraded on the upgrade was activated on the 28 April, So a 24 months contract should end 28 April 2022. What is the other 3 months for. So i would still be required to pay the new Hansen for the unknown extra 3 months and still pay the old handset for 3 months more. how do you calculate your 24 months? I need clarify.
