Trying to take out a New Contract

I didn’t think I would have to resort to this as I always had good service from Vodacom but today I’ve just reached the end of my tether.

Last month I have decided to take out a new contract on your website *** which was approved. I ordered a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua on the 13 April 2016 had the order confirmed that everything was sorted and that I could expect delivery the next day. Since then I have been calling your call centre daily as to find out when the device would arrive. No one could answer me as to where it was to where it was. Eventually I was told that you no longer have stock of the device and didn’t have for a while. This was contrary to what was on your website but even worse was that your call centre agent dealing with my order didn’t even mention this. This was from a time period of 13 – 25 April 2016 where I was trying to deal with the Call Centre Agent (I have his name). Regardless of this I then enquired about changing the package which I was told wouldn’t be a problem. This agent then proceeded to take down my details and process the deal. Only after a couple of days when I called in again I found out that he never put the order through. How *********** is that??? Since then I cancelled the order and left it feeling very disappointed and frustrated at the total lack of service. Even the managers on duty failed to resolve this issue.

I then decided to try again on the 18 May to open a new contract, ***. This time I done it telephonically and everything went smooth with the vetting and approval. When it came to confirming my order, I made doubly sure with the agent that they have the phone in stock and that it won’t be a problem to get it delivered to me. I was promised the phone on Monday and given my ‘Y’ number to track the order. However when checking, I find no evidence that it is with the delivery company. When I called your centre again, I’m being told that there is another stock problem….. Seriously?? After confirming multiple times with the agent that there is stock?

Question is, why do I have to follow up out of my own accord? Should you be calling me the customer if there is a problem? I’m really disappointed in the service levels received and the staff in the call centre seems to be really clueless about how to resolve my issue.

Can I please be contacted by someone competent to resolve my issue.

Thanks
