Trying to move over from MTN

I went into the Vodacom 4U Branch in Rosebank to open up a cell phone contract. Initially I was declined due to an error at the bureau that was fixed, after hours dealing with the bureau and eventually sorting out the issue only to be told that my surname doesn't match my ID. Which by the way is my same surname I have had from birth that appears on all of my documents ID, drivers licence and Passport. It is a difficult surname but I was now told I need to go to home affairs to prove that is my surname. I am registered to vote, own a home and a car and have an existing MTN cell phone contract, how is this possible. It is extremely embarrassing. I am not sure what else to do if that is what my Surname is. I work for a bank, they have all of my details exactly the same, to be declined for a phone contract because my surname is different is just preposterous. I understand ***** concerns, but I have all of my docs with the same ID and surname, passport ID, drivers licence, banking accounts etc. I am highly upset as I was willing to move my entire range of products to Vodacom which I will no longer be doing so! My parents also own a business which they were also looking to move NO longer
