Trying to cancel Vodacom contract

Good day, I would love to know how one can get out of a contract that was never agreed to in the first place? I have spent a whole year trying to get out of a Vodacom contract and feel like I am stuck between a rock and hard place. According to Vodacom, I was contacted in October 2020 and was advised that they no longer do 1gb contracts, they have to move me to a 2gb contract. I advised the operator at the time that I am on a month to month and that I was not looking to go into any 24 month contract with Vodacom. To my dismay, I found out in 2021 that they had put me on a 24 month contract without my consent. This means that I would only be able to terminate my contract in 2022. In July 2021, I made contact with Vodacom and requested cancellation of my line, I informed them that I was put onto this 2gb contract @ R128 p/m without me agreeing to the 24 month term. The operator offered me a deal of 20GB anytime data at R130 or so. I advised that I am ok with that but are they sure it is 20gb anytime and not this 10gb day, 10gb night. They agreed it was 20gb anytime data. Guess what, they upgraded me and when the next month arrived, I checked the balance only to find it was a 10gb day, 10gb night. I then contacted Vodacom and advised them to please cancel the contract, so they performed a reversal on it. Now they have moved my cancellation date to 23 August 2023 and have advised me that I need to wait 5-7 working days for them to fix the cancellation date. Today's operator also promised me 20gb of anytime data at R149 p/m. Unfortunately due to the lies received the previous round, I just cannot believe any of the operators at Vodacom anymore. Not sure how to trust them and just want this line cancelled. How can I get this task accomplished please?
