Travel bundle to Namibia a waste of time and money

I bought the roaming travel bundle for my holiday in Namibia. Others on our trip bought a Namibian sim card. I was hardly ever able to access the internet except via the accommodation's website, but the person who bought a sim card was consistently online. I paid R300 (R99 each week) and it was almost a complete waste of time (almost because it worked now and then.) My phone showed there was signal, but I could not whatsapp or use Google maps (the most important part.) I did recieve calls and could send SMSes, though. The bundle should have been active as the money was taken from my airtime. My suggestion: buy a sim card from the country you are going to. Travel bundles were a waste of time and money.
