Transfer of ownership never ending saga

I went in to a Vodocom Shop at Cape Quarter (04.03.19) to do a transfer of ownership from my mom's account to mine. Additionally, I mentioned to the consultant that I was due for an upgrade (as I had been receiving sms's from Vodacom advising me of this). The consultant then said to me that there was another customer that just came in to do a transfer of ownership an their application was unsuccessful and she was not sure why. I said to the consultant that we should at least try to do my transfer of ownership as I had come from far and I would at least appreciate an attempt. I gave her all the necessary documentation an waited in store for her to complete the application. Unfortunately the system was a bit slow and it took longer than anticipated, and eventually the consultant said she would complete the process the next day (as it was closing time and the pc was slow) and would notify me when the transfer was done. I left the store and I was told that I would be notified of the outcome of the transfer. I had to follow up at least twice a week regarding this matter and only after 2 weeks I was told the transfer was successful , thereafter I asked if it was possible to do an upgrade and I was told I could not as it will cancel the transfer of ownership. I should rather wait till the end of the month and the transfer has completely moved to my account. I did this and the beginning of this month (April) I attempted to upgrade and I was told my ID number does not match the ID number on the Vodacom system. I was then alerted that this never happens and that it was not clear what went wrong. I further followed this up and it was brought to my attention that the consultant who did the transfer of ownership choose the wrong individuals ID. I then asked for this to be rectified and I was told by the consultant that I was being difficult throughout this whole process. This comment was uncalled for and outright unfair. The consultant then updated the account number to my ID number and I again attempted to do an upgrade and I was told that I can not upgrade as I have no financing against my name. I queried this as I have a good credit record and I was previously granted a P0700 rating and now all of a sudden I've been told I can't afford financing. I've now waited 5 days for a response and today I've been told that the reason I can't upgrade is that on the system it shows that a new contract was opened and that's why I am not eligible for an upgrade. This is absolutely ridiculous as I constantly receive sms saying i'm due for an upgrade (latest being yesterday) as my 24-month contact ends next month. I have never experienced such turmoil as I have with this situation. Something simple has been blown out of proportion and left me wanting to leave my +10year relationship with Vodacom and go to another service provider.
