Transfer of decased wife account

Didn't think it would ever come to me using a service like this. But ffter 25 days without services I am at the end of my wits. After the passing of my wife and her being the account holder for all cell phone number I wanted to be able to pay for the account. All documentation was handed in on the 2nd of October to transfer the account. Numerous calls and visits to the store later, nobody is still able to tell me where in the process it is. Call center pointing me to the shop, the shop pointing me to the call center. Easier to deal with funeral parlours and life insurance service provider than a simple transfer of account at Vodacom. As a single parent without a cellphone - not only inconvient but affecting our lifes hugely. Not a single note received with condolences - after 20 year of being an account payer with Vodacom. The indefference to customers is hugley concerning. If I ever have control over the account I will migrate to another provider asap. The process of deceased accounts and single parents with minors must be reviewed as quickly as possible, you are risking the security of children and teenager. Disappointing and saddenening

An automated response - how lovely. Don't try to call me because ironically I can't even receive calls anymore....I am truly speechless, and very very sad.

Problem seemed to be fixed - and now disconnected for the second time again. No one seems to have a clue how to work this. Pathetic - and as a costumer one feels completely powerless. Time to go to the ombudsman.

Never mind - I changed my number to Cell C today. I could not see anyone being bothered to fix my problem after 6 weeks without the ability to make calls and mobile internet. Not that I think it will bother anyone at Vodacom now....
