Totally ignored by Vodacom

Have attempted upgrading my existing contract twice online and once through their call Centre. Have received emails with the following response: “We have received your request for a new deal and your reference number is 6WN5KP A Call Centre agent will contact you within 24 hours to complete your new deal request. If you don't hear from us within the next 24 hours, please call ********** 4, FREE from a Vodacom cellphone. The Vodacom Online team Vodacom”

Never heard once from them within 24 hours and when you phone the number as instructed in the emails, the operator says there is no order according to their records. I also don’t qualify for the special deal I app**** for as it was only a Black Friday deal. However; I did apply on Black Friday and when attempting to apply online again a week later, the same deal was advertised. Ref no A724CR refers. But when phoning again, they said that deal doesn’ exist anymore, yet all I did was follow the prompts from their website leading one to believe that the deal is still offered. In my last conversation the operator said they would accommodate me with the deal and took my order telephonically. Yet after all these attempts I have heard nothing further from Vodacom. I am really disappointed in their service, especially after I have had existing contracts with Vodacom for years and always thought they were the best service provider in SA. But after this experience, I am no longer interested in upgrading my contract and will consider taking my business elsewhere.

Yes, a consultant did contact me. However; all he was interested in was telling me is that I should call a certain number to upgrade. He did not take the time to understand my frustration that the deal I app**** for is no longer valid and therefore my issue has not been addressed.

The SMS just contains terms and conditions. Since I did apply on Black Friday itself and subsequent attempts for the same deal, all communications lead me to believe the deal had been accepted. The manner in which Vodacom advertises and deals with long standing customers is unacceptable. I accept your decision and I’ll move all my current business to another service provider.
