Total Service Confusion
I honestly feel like cancelling my contract. Fibre went down on Thursday. Vodacom tried to assist me with connection checking but realized the problem was "physical" and logged a service call. Technicians arrived on Friday and replaced the Vuma box. They informed me that the Router was also non functional and needed replacing but unfortunately they did not have one. They would send word to Vodacom to replace. Later on I received a call from Vodacom Fibre confirming this. I've made 3 follow up calls over the weekend and on each, I had to explain the entire problem all over again. Twice I was told it would be "escalated" and that a courier would deliver. The third, today, told me that nothing could be done until a team was notified on Monday. He then said my Router would "possibly" need replacing but that it was unclear at present. How can two technicians be dispatched and only half the job be completed? How is this cost effective for Vodacom? Then the customer is left without Fibre for 4 days and then the final consultant says "possibly" after two technicians have been and officially declared the Router broken? Half solved. No Fibre. Unhappy customer with no service cer*****y!
