Top phone out of stock for weeks

I am one of Vodacom's longest standing customers and have always used a Nokia. I am due an upgrade and requested a Lumia 930 on my next contract over two weeks ago. Was told they are out of stock and would go on back order. When I checked today they are still out of stock but here's the thing - their supplier cannot tell them when the stock will arrive. Really?! SA's largest network company cannot get hold of one of the world's leading phones (which they advertise) within weeks AND cannot tell when it will arrive ? (MTN seems to have stock?) What is going on?
