I phoned the call centre at 03:40 on 25 August, to ask why the lost data on my 4G device had still not been returned as promised after the public outcry on lost data, and Vodacom's promises. My previous correspondence relates to the matter. I was able to get through with some ease and spoke to a consultant. Within a very short period however there was a cacophony of other conversations in the background so that I could not hear the consultant. I am a pensioner and am hard of hearing with so much noise. I complained and he did something so that I could once again hear him and myself, but the situation soon deteriorated again. Vodacom put this down to high call volumes, which I believe is bull at this time of the morning. It sounded more like the operator was working from a tea room than from a cubicle. After the fourth time that this happened, the line was dropped. It looks like a lost cause trying. I will have to work through Hello Peter to try and communicate. Vodacom
