Too many customers experiencing huge data consumption

Vodacom have had numerous queries on customers complaining about unexpected and sudden high data consumption. I am one of these customers that has seen 15 Gigabyte of data disappear in a matter of a few days while my normal consumption is about 5 gig a month. In fairness Vodacom offered to investigate and gave me 5 Gig to get through the rest of the month. This again was wiped out in two days. I was told, and accept that Windows 10 with its mandatory updates could be the culprit, so I switched to my wife’s laptop with windows 7, only to see that the one Gig I bought yesterday disappear in hours, despite me disconnecting my cell phone from my secured WiFi hotspot and disabling MSN features so that I only use the PC for newspapers, mail and my chess games. Windows 10 provides a tool Feature to see what apps or systems used the data on it’s tools menu. This indicates a usage of 1,8 Gig over the past few days since my windows upgrade, which does not tally. I now suspect that there may be cloned Sim cards out there. As a precaution I have changed my SIM card network key default, but I am not sure that this will work. Vodacom, you are aware of the problem, stop blaming your customers, find and rectify the problem as a matter of urgency.
