Title: Allswell by name, a complete void by nature.
A Masterclass in Empty Promises: A Review of Executive Client Liaison Nkululeko Allswell Vilakazi
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (One star, and that is being generous)
To anyone at Vodacom who cares about accountability, and more pointedly, to the office of Mr. Nkululeko "Allswell" Vilakazi:
This review serves as a formal, and deeply frustrated, indictment of the complete and total breakdown in communication and professional integrity exhibited by your Executive Client Liaison Officer.
After an egregious series of customer service failures regarding my contract, I was—foolishly, it turns out—relieved to be escalated to Mr. Vilakazi. He presented himself with an air of authority and concern. He used my name, he listened (or performed a convincing impression of listening), and he made very specific, unequivocal promises. He assured me that my grievance was "understood," "valid," and that he would "personally oversee" its resolution. He followed through with an email promised a resolution.
That was over three weeks ago.
Since that initial conversation, Nkululeko Allswell Vilakazi has vanished into the ether more completely than a dropped call in a ba*****t. The promised follow-up? Non-existent. The "personal oversight"? A fiction. The numerous emails I have sent, each more desperate than the last, have been met with a silence so profound it is an insult in itself.
The title "Executive Client Liaison" implies a bridge between the client and the executive decision-makers. Mr. Vilakazi is not a bridge; he is a tollbooth on a road to nowhere, collecting my time and patience before directing me into a void. His role appears to be nothing more than a corporate pacifier, designed to placate angry customers with lofty titles and hollow assurances, buying the company more time while doing absolutely nothing.
The initial grievance with Vodacom's standard customer service was bad enough. But this—this betrayal of trust at an executive level—is far worse. It demonstrates a systemic rot. It tells me that Vodacom cultivates a culture where even its designated problem-solvers are not accountable for their word.
Mr. Vilakazi, your name, "Allswell," is a cruel irony in this situation. Nothing is well. My contract issue remains unresolved, my faith in your company is shattered, and my perception of you as a professional is that you are a person who does not honour their commitments. You had one job: to communicate and to follow through. You have failed spectacularly at both.
This review is the only form of "follow-up" I can now expect. I hope the silence in your office is as loud as the disappointment you have engineered. Consider this your notification that your failure is now a matter of public record.
