Tired of no Service and Empty Promises
I am writing this review from a place of genuine frustration. If I were to say how I truly feel in this review, it will probably get taken down.
The short of it is that I have had no internet service since the 19th of February 2022. I call nearly every day only to be told about escalations and that someone will call me back. I have been told that I will be called back multiple times and the only time someone has called me back, was when they realized I was on hold and then cut off. Nobody has ever contacted me from Vodacom. I am truly tired of the excuses and the lies (because if I am told that someone will call me back and that does not happen, is that not a lie?)
Vodacom sent a technician but all he did was take pictures and say that technician will come and fix the issue the next day. But that was now 3 weeks ago. When I call the call center, I am told the technician needs to send pictures. I am also asked if I know the technician's name or if I have pictures to send them. Why was a technician sent in the first place if these things are asked from me?
I think what really bugs me about this whole situation is that I have to work from my home during all of this and this is costing me a lot more since Vodacom still debits the account despite me not having any service, but also having to either drive to an office or buy data to connect, things that Vodacom will almost certainly not cover.
Why do I have to call every day only to get the same thing told to but it is never followed through with? Why am I asked to do things the technician they sent through was supposed to do? Why does the company have zero technicians in Gauteng (because this is what I am told over the phone).
I have had numerous customer service issues with Vodacom with my Fiber installation, from getting it installed to billing issues, and now this. And it's such a shame because The product itself, is top-notch when it is working.
Is stings a bit more that, for fiber, Vodacom is my only option. I cant switch to another infrastructure provider If I wanted to. And this truly does feel like I am being treated like a customer with no options and all I can really do is wait for Vodacom.
I came here to write to you because I just didn't know what to do anymore. I don't want to call again just to be **** to and be told someone will get back to me, but what else can I do? I am not trying to be rude or unreasonable, but if you do respond to this, please do not tell me you will get back to me with no intention of actually getting back to me. I am truly defeated by this situation at this point.
