This was the worst service. i'm even thinking of leaving this network

On Saturday I received call from 2 Vodacom agents informing me of an attempt to do a sim swap on my cell phone number. The 2 gentlemen Sakhile(called at 11h45) and Sihle(called at 19H44) informed that the sim swap had been succesfully stopped after they did a security check and confirmed that the sim card belonged to me and that I would get 2 smses that I can ignore since everything had been confirmed telephonically and the ********** sim swap had been stopped. Both these agents did not at any stage inform me that I need to go do a sim swap. Sakhile made me create a pin for in the event that I do need a sim swap in the future. He still did not mention that I would have to do one now as my number would be taken off the network

After receiving the second call from Sihle I received 2 smses. After 21H00 my phone went off and was showing no service which I did not understand. I panicked and called vodacom customer care and spoke to a lady who advised me that my number had been taken off the network and that I would have to go do a sim swap. I did not understand this why was I not told earlier when the first agent called in the morning now it's late at night and these people don't even know where I am and they decide to disconnect my phone. Should I have an emergency how would my family get hold of me or how would I get hold of anyone. I then requested for a supervisor and she put me on hold then she hung up.

I called back in and spoke to Moneoa. I requested a team leader or supervisor. He informed me that there is not team leader or supervisor which I did not believe because when I intially requested a supervisor he wanted to know in connection to what I wanted to speak to a supervisor. He then put me on "hold" but actually forgot to mute the call or put it on hold and I could hear me making fun of me in the background with his colleauges and they were laughing. When he realised his mistake he then put the phone on hold came back and informed me that there is no Supervisor and that he was standing in for the supervisor as a team assistant. I told him my problem and once again I was told I need to do sim swap. Both these agents did not feel my frustration as this a very big inconveneince to me.

Why should I go do a sim swap when I never requested it. What was the point of them caling me and telling that they had stopped an attempt of a ********** sim swap on my number if it would leave me inconvenienced after having confirmed all my information as per their system. Why must I buy another sim card when I have my sim card. I feel like I'm being punished and not protected as they are saying.
