This review has 1 STAR to many

The Phone that you provided us with is brand new. Through a fault of our own, the screen got a crack now. We contacted Vodacom, got a quote for R820 to repair the screen. Now they say sorry they do not have and can not get parts. They want us now to pay R8200 they they now discounted to R4100 to replace the device. My question is, how can they sell a device that they can not repair ? That is surely not in line with the Consumer Protection Act. If they would tell that to new customers I do not think that even one customer would take the phone. Tomorrow an actual warrantee matter might arise, what then, will I have to again exchange the device for a new one and pay like 50% of a new device. I would like to get a new, different device, one that Vodacom can actually repair.
