This is unacceptable

My mum recently visited the Vodacom Hatfield Branch to find out how to go by cancelling her contract prematurely. They explained to her that unfortunately it can not be done in store but gave her the necessary documents she needed. She received a Premature Cancellation Quotation detailing the cost involved in cancelling her contract prematurely. She then paid the amount in full and forwarded her proof of payment along with the other documents required within the 7 day window. They assured her that it would take 24 hours. It has been days now so she decided to visit the store again to inquire about why her contract has not yet been cancelled. To her surprise she was told that since it is a new month an additional month's payment must first be made before the contract will be cancelled.

This is nonsense since it is clearly stated on the singed acceptance cancellation quotation that the quote is valid for 7 days, therefore no additional charges can be added within that time period. I refuse to settle for this. Either your paperwork is ********** or your staff members are badly misinformed. Being a long term customer of Vodacom I did not expect this and I am utterly disgusted.
