Thirteen calls to Upgrades Department for a Team leader to respond, and they block me!
Thirteen calls later to Upgrades Dept *** and Vodacom blocks me for "repeated calls to their call centre". Problem still not resolved from 10 June to date (17 June). Spoken to Maleand, Nomfundo, Gloria, Sasekani, Tego, Balisa, Sindi, Zizinele, Nomtanzani, Alison (twice) and Lebo, as well as one where I was cut off, and the other they could not hear me.
Due to Vodacom failing to honour the agreement that no "third party charges" or "wasps" charged to our account, has resulted in Vodacom refunding R1583 worth of debited charges. They kindly credited to the "recharge airtime" rather than my statement. Now I wish to "upgrade" my contract (period end, at which time they gave me an unannounced 43% increase from R168pm to R239pm, without notice of the tariff, except the contract period had ended).
Now we wish to convert to a data only, and rather purchase prepaid airtime at 79c/minute, but Vodacom want me to forfeit the current months airtime (I agreed, not happy, but agreed = compromise). However, they demand that I also forfeit the "refunded" R1583 that was debited to me, and only reversed two weeks ago.
Nobody understands, that all I am asking is to rather credit the refund to my "statement" or to my "bank account", if it is to be unusable in its current form as non-expiring R1583 on my cell phone contract.
It is to be remembered Vodacom failed to honour the "no third party debits" authorisation and when they refunded the R1583, this was accepted. This cannot now be forfeited when the contract is amended to a data only contract. Vodacom needs to refund the customer or offset against the statement to carry forward the credit.
We will as a result of this take out TWO data only contracts, however, they need to get a Team Leader/Supervisor to respond (each call, they promise to get one, and a week has passed without success). I know they are working from home, but that doesn't make it any less possible in one week to get at least one supervisor to resolve this.
Vodacom now won't let me have a prepaid airtime, with only a "data bundle" on contract.
My wife's prepaid airtime is 79c/minute and does not expire. Vodacom demand that if I have "top up airtime" on my data bundle, that they will charge me R1.85/minute, more than 50% more than the prepaid option I wanted. Why does Vodacom have to Rob the pensioners, as the expired contract went up 43%? I still want to have a prepaid cell phone at 79c/minute and my 1 gig data bundle for R39pm. Why is Vodacom so greedy to want to charge a pensioner R1.85/minute when they are forced to get top up airtime at that rate?
