*******-Vodacom is dishonest. Billing me when I'm not a client
I ported my Vodacom cell number to MTN in Feb/March 2018. I was out of contract with Vodacom for years. I was informed by MTN Staff, Sandown Branch, 135 Rivonia Road, that once my number is ported, the contract will be cancelled and that I am not required to contact Vodacom myself. Vodacom have not stopped billing me a fee to date. I could not get through to their retention desk as it is a requirement on their AVR to enter a valid Vodacom cell number which I obviously do not have. Hence, I sent through two emails querying the billings and the cancellation of my contract, reference number : 003S~SCR4. I received no response from Vodacom to either of my emails. They just continued to bill me. On Friday, 4 May 2018, at around 8am, I managed to get through to someone who transfered me to a retention agent, Millend. Reference number for the call is 1- ********** ********** . Millend (not sure if this is his correct name) informed me that I will not be refunded as I was misled by MTN and that I needed to have called and cancelled the contract myself. I want to know, what am I being billed for when I am not on a Vodacom network? In the same breath, Millend mentioned that a contract is cancelled once the number has been ported. A complete contradiction of insisting that I needed to call and cancel the contract myself. Please Vodacom, I want my money bac**** You have been billing me for no reason. I would appreciate a speedy response on this.
