Theft. A ******** act in which property belonging to another is taken without that person's consent.

In March 2017 I upgraded my contract online, because as http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/shopping/why-buy-online promised the upgrade will be free, connection will be free and no admin fees will be payable. I upgrade online. On 12 March I receive an invoice for my two numbers totalling R1012,51. In April I receive no invoice. On 18 April R2277,05 is deducted from my account. In other words I had an uninvoiced dedudction made from my account. On 19 April I call the 082 111 helpline. A friendly lady called Maphiso answers and explains that she cannot help me, but will forward the matter to Vodacom Upgrades. She can however email my my latest invoice. I receive the invoice, totalling R1 889,69. It does not equal the R2277,05. It contains a lot of items that make no sense. including items from March. It also includes upgrade admin fees, subscription fees, connection fees and two different line rental fees. On 19 April I receive a "if your query was not resolved reply NO" sms from ********** . I reply no, and am shortly after called by a lady called Thabang. The line gets cut while she is doing the security questions. I'm still waiting for her to call back. So where should I not lay the ******** charge of theft?

Three stars for the consultant, 0 for Vodacom. At least the consultant who called me today was friendly and sincere. And then the he must stand to face the unhappiness of customers for the bad management and planning of the Vodacom Senior Staff, all of whom get away with handling customers like dirt. My one wish for all senior management of Vodacom (and Vodafone) - May your daily lives be filled with one small irritation for every customer you affect with bad decsions.
