The worst service ever!

I'd like to complain about the following. This is a post I posted earlier today on the Vodacom page. Please assist because Vodacom doesn't seem to care about their clients.

Dear Vodacom,

I come to your social media page with such frustration because you never listen to your clients until you are exposed on a public platform. I'm gonna tell a story I keep explaining telephonically and hope to God I never have to tell it again.

I started maternity leave from February 2017 to May 2017. For 2 months my maternity leave was unpaid. Immediately after those 2 months, on the 8th June I made a payment of the outstanding amount to Vodacom. Vodacom notified me that this money was received on the 9th June.

I thought all was sorted until I received a message from Vodacom on the 18th June 2017 notifying me that my account is in arrears by a month. At this point I'm confused because I still have money in my account and I notice no debit order has gone off. I get one of those recorded messages asking me to indicate when I'd pay so I specify the date that my debit order usually go off. Again the debit order doesn't go off even though there's money in my account. This time I get a notification that my phone has been blocked and I won't be able to call out anymore.

So I call Vodacom to find out what's going on because I indicated that they should take money from my account (as usual). The consultant I speak to explains to me that because the debit order returned twice it was removed and so I was required to pay cash. I never delete messages. I checked all the messages I received from Vodacom and no where was I notified that the debit order had been removed. Fine, I admit defeat and ask the guy to please reactivate the debit order for the 28th. And he checks all my details and tells me it's been reactivated. I ask if my line will be activated again since I've made an arrangement and they tell me I have to pay all the money before it is activated. At this point I ask why I wasn't notified that the debit order has been removed and the guy just apologises for the inconvenience but my line won't be open.

I speak to a friend who works for vodacom and tell her the story and she tells me she'll ask her supervisor to investigate for me. He calls me (on the 10th of July) and explains to me how the system works and that deactivating the debit order is beyond their control. He tells me a message was indeed sent to me notifying me about the debit order being removed. I explain to him that I haven't received such a message but perhaps I missed it somehow. Okay so I let it go. I thank him for the call.

Fast forward to early this month, no debit order goes off! I get another message from vodacom harassing me about non payment. Again, I call in to find out why my debit order didn't go off on the 28th as agreed. The lady consultant apologises and tells me she would reactivate it again. This was on Monday 4th September. Now this will be month 2 without reception all because of you and not listening to your clients.

I now ask her to forward me to the complaints department so I can get a hold of the recordings of me agreeing to a debit order to be reactivated as proof that I didn't ask for my debit order to be removed again. She forwards me to a finance department (or something like that) but somehow it returns back to the sane department I called. I speak to another consultant and ask if she is from the complaints department. She asks me what I'd like to complain about, so once more I explain the entire story to her and she cuts me off after I explain the maternity leave part and gets extremely rude (you can refer to the recording for details). I ask her to please check the recordings to prove that I indicated that I would like a debit order to be reactivated and she tells me I should call 082111. I tell her I am currently on 082111, that's the number I called. I ask her to transfer me, she tells me she can't. So I ask for her name and she even spells it out DITSHEGO. At this point I'm shocked!

I call the number again and ask to be transferred to complaints. This time I'm speaking to a very polite consultant but she also wants me to explain what happened. I tell the story again and I even tell her about the rude consultant. She tells me she'll report this consultant to her supervisor. She tells me I still have an outstanding amount to pay but I tell her I'd already spoken to someone earlier who reactivated. She tells me it's not on the system so she activates it again. She tells me she'll escalate the matter and ask for recordings too. I missed a call from Vodacom that day as I was attending a meeting. I'm guessing it was to give me feedback on my query. I tried calling the number with my niece's number but for some reason I couldn't get through.

Today I receive another message from vodacom demanding payment immediately!!! Harassing me again. How bad is your service Vodacom??? How bad????? Wait till I get my money right and cancel this contract! ?????
