THE WORST PAST SIX MONTHS OF LIES, MISINFORMATION AND DECEIT

Last year November I took out an online contract for an iPhone 11 for around R350 pm. As a student who is studying full time, working full time and fully financially providing for myself I was ecstatic that I had come across this specific contract and its price. Little did I know that I would land up struggling for months with misinformation, charges to my account that I wasn't made aware of and multiple promises of solutions from customer care on the phone and in store. After receiving my invoice I could suddenly see that I was paying way more per month than my contract. We were told at first a completely wrong number for how much I was being billed by a lady on the customer care line, she proceeded to straight out LIE about how much I was spending per month on my contract and absolutely terrified me about my expenses and proceeded to put me on a different contract where 'I wouldn't be spending as much'. We went back and checked the amounts she gave to me and every amount was way under what she had said, she had blatantly **** to me and ******* me into going into a more expensive contract by making me think I would be saving not spending more. Once we found this out we immediately went in store and cancelled the contract immigration and complained about how customer care had blatantly **** to us, we were then told by the instore Vodacom employee that unfortunately this is a common experience and issue and that they do lie to try to get you into a more expensive contract. let me repeat that, THE EMPOLYEE AT VODACOM OUT RIGHT ADMITTED TO THE CALL LINE LIEING ABOUT BILLED AMOUNTS AND TRICKING CUSTOMERS INTO MORE EXPENSIVE CONTRACTS FOR COMMISION. Then we went into multiple stores AGAIN throughout the space of two months to try to understand where the extra charges were coming from, we were told by THREE different Vodacom employees from three different stores (from the multiple visits where we tried to understand the bill) that a) we could pay R100 B) we could pay R40 or C) we could pay R10 for my open line contract to be changed to one where I wont be charged for higher call minutes. We were literally told three different amounts to do the exact same thing. FINALLY we were told that all of those amounts were incorrect and that it was said to us , once again, for commission for the employee.. FINALLY after 6 MONTHS of speaking to over TEN different people in store and on a call line were we FINALLY told that when my monthly data and airtime run out it automatically goes into giving me data and airtime that Im paying more for and being charged, we were told that it automatically goes over into giving me more and charging me but that I was sent sms's when i started going over into being charged more. I NOT ONCE RECIEVED ANY SMS'S ABOUT GOING INTO DATA AND AIRTIME THAT IM BEING CHARGED FOR. They even checked on the system and found no trace of any sms's being sent. FINALLY a solution was given last month (MAY, 6 MONTHS AFTER TAKING OUT MY CONTRACT) and we were told we could put a block on my phone and in the system so that I would not go over my data and airtime bundle anymore. We called customer care line TWICE and went in store to TRIPLE check that the blocks had been made on my account and phone and ALL three times we were told that the block was definitely put on and we were even promised a R200 credit to be added to my account , within three working days, to try to 'somewhat' make up for the extra chargers I've been paying without the choice of even being told. THIS MONTH I LOOK AT MY INVOICE AND ITS R630 HOW EVEN??? we called the customer care line and were told that NO BLOCKS HAD BEEN PUT ON AT ALL and that zero credit was added to my account even a month later. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A FRUSTRAING TIME AND ISSUE THE PAST 6 MONTHS THEN I EVER HAVE MY WHOLE LIFE. If I could cancel my contract and give the phone back I would. I have NEVER been told so much misinformation and different amounts, numbers and 'solutions' with absolutely nothing actually being done. The past six months have 100% made me see that Vodacom does not give a single damn about their customers and the service they are providing. After this experience not being solved and struggling to just UNDESTAND why I'm being charged more for 6 MONTHS i will never ever take another contact out with Vodacom and i will never recommended them to anyone, In fact I will OPENLY VOICE MY HATRED AND FRUSTRATION TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE THAT WILL LSITEN. because Vodacom sure as hell does not give a single care or thought towards their customers.
