The worst fibre line service at Vodacom

I requested cancellation on 11th September (SR***). I asked for proof of cancellation and the agent told me I will receive it via e-mail and even if I don’t, the reference number is proof enough, and gave me reference SR***. I called exactly 1 month later on the 12th of October expecting my line to be cancelled, only to be told my reference number does not exist. Meaning I wasted my time and money by calling on 11th September only to speak to a ********** lazy call centre agent who did not bother to capture my query. They gave me a new reference number: SR***. I asked for an escalation process and that I will provide evidence of the call I made, and I am sure it can be traced as your calls are recorded. I was promised this will be escalated. The reason for my cancellation is that I am not getting good reception and I am permanently working from home. My employer has offered to provide me with Fibre for me to be able to perform my duties. I had to wait for a month to cancel, we went into another month now. Just getting documents to sign is an issue but when Vodacom wanted my sale there was never an issue with the online system and any delays. I am not going to wait for another month from the 12th of October when I registered my 2nd query. It’s 15 days later today and this has still not been escalated. I have to call daily and spend over 30 minutes on the phone just to be told “we have captured your details and escalated this matter and someone will be in contact with you” , and no body bothers to contact me.

Can Vodacom please just disconnect my line from MetroFibre so I can have peace in my life. That’s all I am asking for. The billing and all the other nitty gritties can be dealt with later. I would like to continue with my life and perform my duties as I would like to. I feel like I am being held at ransom just because I made a mistake of signing a contract with Vodacom which I regret so much today.
