The workshop vodacom

I recently visited the Vodacom store at The Workshop under extremely distressing circumstances after being ****** in the CBD. I was in urgent need of assistance to block my ****** device and perform a SIM swap so I could obtain an ITC number and report the incident to the police. Unfortunately, I was met with very poor service from a young lady named Sma, who usually attends to customers entering the store.

Despite my visible distress and explaining my situation, she showed no empathy or willingness to help. She informed me that she could not assist with a SIM swap because I didn’t have a device, and advised me to purchase a SIM card from Pick n Pay and complete the process on my own. When I asked how I could possibly do that without a phone, she coldly suggested I borrow one from someone who uses the same network. Even after seeing me cry, she remained indifferent and dismissive.

I was deeply disappointed by her lack of compassion and professionalism. In my opinion, someone in her position—welcoming customers at the front of the store—should embody warmth and support, especially when dealing with vulnerable situations.

Thankfully, I returned to the store later and was assisted by a gentleman named Langelihle. He was incredibly helpful, understanding, and efficient. Within 15 minutes, he resolved everything I needed. His service was a stark contrast to my earlier experience and truly restored my faith in the Vodacom brand.
