The Positive side of a Negative Experience

I recently had a nightmare experience with Vodacom when one of their staff erroneously entered the incorrect code against my Contract details. I live in the middle of nowhere and a round trip of 200kms from the nearest Vodacom Agency Store manned by one person so I cant just "pop down and get it sorted" instead I have to make dozens of phone calls, wait endlessly for someone to answer the phone and then repeat over and over to various staff members what my perception of the problem is. After three or four days of knocking my head against the wall I was drowning in a sea of frustration, images flashed through my mind of a Customer Call Centre consisting of hundreds of abandoned desks with thousands of phones ringing non stop and one Staff member seated in the center having breakfast and totally unperturbed. Eventually after speaking to every single staff member at Vodacom (thats what it felt like) I end up speaking to Lisa and suddenly I can breath again, right from the start I could hear she actually understood what it was I was having a problem with and when she was unable to resolve it she actually took the trouble to go out of her way and find out who I could speak to in order to get it sorted out. At this point I still do not know exactly what has gone wrong on Vodacom's side but I then send a email to a Supervisor named Clinton, I did not expect to get a response and almost fainted when he phoned me after investigating what went wrong, within a few minutes it was clear that Clinton (like Lisa) was not trying to get get rid of the query by getting me to phone and speak to so and so, they actually wanted to help get the matter resolved, having gone through what I had gone through over the preceding week or so it was as if I was speaking to a different organisation, they were helpful, attentive, sympathetic, friendly, able to comprehend the problem and most importantly get the matter sorted out and I cant thank the two of them enough. Staff that are committed like these two are, are rare and I do hope that Vodacom appreciate their services......I know I certainly do....A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH!!!!. As for Vodacom....you guys really need to do something about the call Centre, waiting for 35 minutes for someone to answer the phone, listening to mind numbing recorded messages and still not getting to speak to someone is no joke, it makes no difference what day you phone or what time you phone....if, by some miracle you do get to speak to someone the game of pass the ball starts up and you get transferred from person to person and Dept to Dept, it worse than Chinese water torture.....can nothing be done?????
