The “no service “ contract

I live in Big Bay, Cape Town. Every time loadshedding starts, I have “ no service “ on my phone. It takes around 1-3 days to get service again and then it comes on for a few hours and disappears again. I am currently on day 3 without any service. I work from home and need to be contactable. I am loosing money by not being able to make or receive calls. I have lodged numerous complaints over the past year, but nothing changes. I do appreciate that loadshedding causes problems, but they keep telling me it is the backup battery that runs out. If that was the case then why does the service not return when loadshedding stops? Surely to be left without service for 3 days at a time is not a battery problem? I live with 2 other people also with Vodacom who experience the same problem. If I visit friends 2 kilometers away I get signal again even when they are in the midst of loadshedding. I can’t afford to move! Please release me from your “no service “ contract or fix it once and for all! My payment to you is not sporadic, why should I settle for sporadic service from you?!
